Databricks Genie Consultant / Data Engineer
Location: Mumbai / Bangalore (Hybrid - 2 Days WFO)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Databricks Genie Consultant / Data Engineer with strong expertise in Data Engineering and the Databricks Lakehouse platform. The role involves building scalable data solutions, enabling self-service analytics through Databricks Genie, and partnering with business teams to deliver actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain data pipelines, transformations, and data models.
- Configure and manage Databricks Genie, including setup and deployment.
- Develop semantic layers and ensure data is optimized for business consumption.
- Create reports and dashboards for business users.
- Collaborate with business and data teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Ensure data quality, governance, security, and lineage across the Databricks environment.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Data Engineering and data modelling.
- Expertise in Databricks, including Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, and Lakehouse Architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks Genie.
- Experience building and managing semantic layers.
- Strong SQL and analytical skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
- Exposure to Retail, CPG, or BFSI domains.
